Early Intervention Program (brief)

The Early Intervention Program (EIP) is designed for parents of deaf babies and young children and offers the following services, which mainly help parents be their child’s best advocate:

  • Guidance, referral, and provision of general information, concerning the deaf child.
  • Rehabilitation sessions conducted by a therapist (approach according to needs).
  • Support groups for parents to share feelings, worries, information and experience, under supervision of a psychologist and a family therapist.
  • Use of the two books of the John Tracy Clinic on early Intervention for parents, which include easy and fun lessons on what can be done with a child at home.
  • Seminars and workshops with professionals an specific subjects in relation to deafness.
  • A Resource Room provides different types of materials on deafness.
  • A Nursery for deaf and hearing chidren.
  • Sign Language courses for parents and other interested persons.
